The 6th issue of Esses finds our favorite Motorsport culture magazine hitting its stride. With a truly stunning feature profile on Arvid Lindblad, F1’s only rookie for the 2026 grid to tie, this newest edition is a testament to the fact the Esses is constantly on the upshift, and there’s much more to come.
In Tokyo before the Japan race this past March, Arvid met with the Esses team to do his first cover shoot, and to talk about his journey to the grid. Despite only being 18, or perhaps specifically because he is 18, it really showcases the perfect alchemy of the teenager’s mix of tenacity and circumstance that led him to his spot on the F1 grid.
What I found fascinating the parallels between how this is a big deal not just for Arvid - first magazine cover, first few races of his first season - but also for Esses, now a veteran of the paddock, to be able to facilitate this when they themselves were the new faces not too long ago.
As new issues come out, it becomes increasingly clear that Esses is a whole package more than the sum of its parts. Stunning visuals, cutting-edge stories, fast cars, passionate people, all brought together with a sense of community. We’ll be back in the fall with issue number 7! With the year Fomula 1 has been having, and with the momentum Esses has been having, it’s sure to be another refreshing dip into the world of modern-day Motorsport.
