Eucalyptus Steamers are Back (amongst other scents)

The shower steamer selection has been leveled out once more! Back in stock is eucalyptus ~ which arguably we should never be out of ~ lavender & geranium, rose, and mandarin & patchouli. We've also gone pretty heavy into the 2-packs and now have lavender & chamomile, patchouli & vetiver, cedar & cypress, lemon & lavender, and eucalyptus.

Holiday steamers ~ Fa La La, Merry & Bright, and Let It Snow ~ are on sale until they're all gone. We had way, way too many.

Oftentimes these posts quickly devolve into me lamenting on the process and challenges of buying inventory, and that's what the rest of this post will be in case you were just interested in the inventory update itself.

When brands have one product, but many versions of it, having the right mix of scents is paramount. I used to think with that staple products like these shower steamers, it made sense to stock up and place bigger orders so that we would 'never be out'.

Unfortunately, what actually ends up happening is that inevitably some scents will run out quicker than others. When that happens, if we still have most of the products, I don't really need to -and honestly shouldn't- make a re-order to replace that one scent.

At the same, we've been out of the eucalyptus steamers since mid-December.

It takes time to recover from... overzealous buying decisions (still recovering). Recently I've been placing smaller, more varied orders which I'm hoping will make it so a brand's inventory level is in ration with its assortment. Smaller orders makes it also less overwhelming when intaking new products, and more products get more attention. We have so many products, and having time to properly communicate them to you feels like an important metric to consider along with budget and intake workload.

My favorite of this new shipment is definitely the cedar & cypress duo pack. It's woodsy and very very fresh. I tend to like the citrus scents, and while this doesn't have citrus it the airiness of this scent is very welcomed.
