Having found Esses from the very first issue at the end of 2024, being able to watch them grow over this past year in a half has been inspiring. At a glance, Issue 05 is a subtle, but clear evolution from the past issues. Featuring even more drivers in the world of Formula including seventeen year old Alba Larsen, a Rosso Corsa (Ferrari) driver in F1 Academy, and 18 year old Holly Miall, a GB4 driver looking to make it to F1 Academy in the imminent future.

Esses is quickly and thoroughly finding stories that introduce us to the spaces and faces that populate the sport. This issue we're treated to a deeper look into the tire manufacturer Pirelli and get a quick tour around Melbourne.

Every edition of this magazine has been incredible so far, and it does seem like the team at Esses is really starting to find their pace in the world of motorsport. Ojus Jain's editor's note for this issue is an existential exploration into what Esses is and what makes an Esses story ~ it looks like they've really figured it out.
