Mythology & Mermaids: Slowdown’s Most Fantastic Set to Date

Slowdown Studio doesn’t necessarily release their blankets in specific themes or in relation to each other, but look at these three new blankets and tell me they don’t belong in the same gallery:

 

When I purchase these throws, some I think are just meant to be tapestries. I quite literally hung up the Freya in the shop the second it came in. These other new ones ~ the Odessa, the Melba, and to a lesser extent the Athena ~ are all tapestry friendly.

That’s not to say these don’t make great blanket! Since these are all made from 100% cotton, including 25% recycled cotton, they’re soft, cozy, and have a nice weight to them when used as a couch throw.

In terms of gifting, these are incredible housewarming gifts. The dual nature of these throws means the recipient can use it wherever it’s needed most. They also work well for big birthdays, weddings, and any time where you want a  gift that’s an artistic and functional statement piece.
