Old Game, New Styles - Travel Backgammons are Here!

The time has come everybody - we have new backgammon sets from Wolfum Studio!

With Valentine's Day coming up, along with Mother's and Father's Day and also graduation, it seemed like a good time to get in some more backgammon sets. They come in two sizes, the travel and the tabletop, each with an array of graphic designs screen-printed onto the boards. Their style is not exactly mid-century modern, but it does have similar tones with the wooden base and interesting color combinations like in the new Wallis Travel Backgammon.

In other exciting news, the Paloma Rust now comes in the Travel Backgammon size, officially rounding our the set! We have always had the Tabletop Backgammon, as well as the Large Serving Tray, Square Serving Tray, and Coasters. Basically, we've just rounded out the set.

Other new patterns include the Navy Grid Travel Backgammon, and the Marion Tabletop, my new favorite design. Previously it has only ever been the Grey Squaresville that occupied that position, but there's something about the color tones of the specific greens (there's multiple) and the specific brown she chose, and how it pairs so good with the zig-zag pattern that makes it objectively the best (to me).

As a note, we tend to have more travel sets than the tabletop ones, but the Tabletop ones are a top-tier statement gift. Think housewarming, anniversaries, weddings, big birthdays, and retirements. It's an old-school game and typically we tend to sell it to older folks. That being said, everything makes a comeback, and analog games are on the rise! Personally, I like keeping a travel backgammon in my car (squaresville grey, obviously) - when I'm not doing this I tend to be idling whilst on the move. I also keep crossword puzzles, a book, coloring stuff, usually bubbles, my skateboard - and a pack of Mad Libs.

Waiting is almost inevitable - entertainment is simply important to living a healthy life.
