Plantable Greeting Cards Are Back!

It’s been a while since we’ve seen our beautiful botanical greeting cards in the shop. With the summer coming along, it’s well past time we brought Small Victories back.

Available with either an herbal seed blend of parsley, chive, and basil or a wildflower mixture, Small Victories’ plantable greeting cards feature original artwork of different flora and fauna. Common features are birds, medicinal flowers, insects, but there are also some other animals that I guess we’ll put in an “etc” group like the Bowhead Whale and the modern classic, Two Toads Together.

To plant, simply tear the paper into pieces (the speckles are the seeds, so aim to tear around and through), place in a pot, cover with 1/8 of soil, and keep moist until little seedlings sprout. Transfer outside if you’d like, or let it grow in the pot! I tend to  keep the herbal seeds in the pot and plant wildflowers outside.

I always recommend writing on the side of the card that has the art on the other side, just in case your recipient wants to plant part of the card, but keep the sentiment.

Each card is handmade from start to finish in Northampton, Massachusetts by the Small Victories’ team. 10% of their profits are donated to LGBTQ+ and ecological organizations, reflecting their mission that preserving the environment and uplifting its people can be achieved in a series of small victories.
