Rich Colors for Almost-Autumn: Royal Peony & Oxblood

It’s time for new colorways from MACHETE! Back in the spring they launched the Royal Peony and Oxblood colorways in some of their sunglasses (we still have the Amelias in Oxblood and the Janes in Royal Peony). These are some of the nicest solo colors I’ve seen them do in the years we’ve carried them, so I was hoping they would bring them out in more styles. Here we are!

Left: Midi Hair Claw in Oxblood, Right: Muse Hoops in Royal Peony

We have at the moment hair claws in varying sizes of Oxblood, as well as a Royal Peony French hairpin. I actually think these colors might be more suited to the fall, so expect more to trickle in later in the year. Truth be told, I actually just got the look book for the Fall/Winter season, so I can say there’s some nice blue hues but nothing quite like the Oxblood/Royal Peony pair.

Most of MACHETE’s products come in patterns— some unique and modern, some classic and timeless— so having a solid color is quite a novelty. They chose some incredibly deep, rich colors this time. I don’t know if it’s the fact that Subtle Art Studios is also doing a lot more solid colors, but no pattern might be my new pattern of the moment.
