This bag was made with apples

Yes, apples.

Using innovative technology, this exquisite crossbody bag may look like it's made with conventional animal leather, but it is actually made from plant waste. With great consciousness and ingenuity, Allégorie takes apples, cacti, pineapple, and sometimes mango(!!) to make accessories that give a show a luxurious and fashionable side to upcycling.

There are brands that I carry because we literally need to have something in that category: think chocolate, think greeting cards. I carry Allégorie because I really, truly believe in the product and the brand as a whole.

As a longtime vegan, I'm always advocating for vegan alternatives wherever I can find them. The fact that there is technology that enables leather to be made from not animals, not plastic, but plants is transformative in ways I don't see every day. Now that I've seen it, I find it important to help keep the fire going. Ultimately, we can only made decision with the options that are presented to us, and this is an incredible option to be presented with!

Anyway, back to the Crossbody Sac itself. It's an elevated version of a throw-it-all-in bag. It's spacious, but shapely. The color and fabric embody that quiet luxury aesthetic, especially with the subtle touches of gold hardware. As a gift, it's a pretty big one all things considered, so it lends itself particularly well as a gift to mark a big occasion. Graduations, milestone birthdays, anniversaries...

Also! This Gala Crossbody Sac is also available in Cactus Leather, and both come with two straps to give you some options of how to wear it.
