The cocktail napkins have been a hit in the shop in a way very few products have ever been. When I first started being a buyer, I figured that anything that was a great product would sell a whole bunch, and therefore I should stock up and order more so we don’t sell out.

I’ve since found out it never, ever works that way.

Especially since the shop is filled with incredible standalone items, and especially since we have so many different types of items, even the most popular products often get lost in our Sea of Cool Stuff.

We first brought in Piecework’s new line of cocktail napkins in December last year. There were two seasonal ones, and also the Shell Napkins. They sold out, almost immediately. We recently brought in four new styles (Strawberry, Martini, I <3 NY, and Pasta) and nearly sold through half of them already! They’ve been specifically popular as host gifts ~ they’re basically an incredibly fun and unique take on the tried-and-true-and-tried-again tea towel gift.

Since there are quite a few different styles, we’re going to be bringing them in to match the season. There’s lots of fruit and flower variations for the summer, and then we will of course be bringing the Ugly Sweaters back for the holidays.

Along with the new matchboxes, and the puzzles that made them Piecework, this is starting to become one of our go-to brands for party gifting!
