Puzzle (1000 Pieces) ~ Wunderkammer Repatriation

‘Wunderkammer’ is literally translated as 'room of wonder’, which I prefer to the slightly derisive ‘cabinet of curiosities’, and it also offers a double-meaning: perhaps the real wonder in this room is the act taking place.

The scene depicts a small project of repatriation, showing the considerate descendant of a collector attempting to identify and return the presumably ill-gained contents of her family wunderkammer with the assistance of a band of researchers.

Each Ordinary Habit puzzle is mindfully made in collaboration with different illustrators. Information on both the artist and puzzle can be found on the back of the box.
