Catered to and inspired by their children, Casiana and Jordi Moncza set out to create toys that encourage and celebrate open-ended playtime. They began making toys after moving to the Spanish countryside following the birth of their son Tomás, and the ode to nature is a clear theme running throughout their products from the types of play sets they create to their earthy but colorful palette.

In Catalan, Grapat translates to a handful. Their toys typically come in sets, often containing a ‘grapat’ of pieces. From their classic Nins characters to colorful mandala pieces, a starry universe, and playful kitchen and nature play sets, Grapat’s line is vibrant and versatile.
