Throw Blanket ~ Cooper

The Cooper Throw was designed by Finland-based artist Lotta Maija for Slowdown Studio. Lotta works in saturated colour, turning flowers and fruit into bold, flattened, playful compositions.

This design came from a Finnish summer spent biking around the city, photographing flowers in full bloom and storing them up against the darker months ahead. Built from flat, stacked shapes like a collage, each one solid-coloured with a bold outline, it's set against a dusty pink background with pops of mustard yellow, plum, orange, and sage green.

Every Slowdown Studio throw starts as an original artwork. We collaborate with independent artists around the world to translate their creativity into woven form.
