Olive Leaf Tea: In a Nutshell

The essence of a beautiful Spanish island in a cup of tea.

With an earthy flavor profile, olive leaf tea is a subtle, grounding drink made simply by steeping olive leaves in water.

With an earthy flavor profile, olive leaf tea is a subtle, grounding drink made simply by steeping olive leaves in water. Despite its simplicity ~ and the global popularity of olive oil ~ it's actually very curious how little we utilize the leaves.

Katja & Kate founded Doa Alquemistas (2A) to celebrate this overlooked part of the olive tree. When branches of the olive trees are cut and trimmed durning pruning season, the ladies of 2A handpick these anciently revered leaves and save them for a delectable loose-leaf tea.

There are 4 different teas and 2 powders in their line, all with a base of olive leaf. Terra and Olive Dust are the same product in different forms. Terra is loose-leaf and perfect for tea, while olive dust is a powder and can be more easily used for cooking, face masks, or added to smoothies.

The olive latte is powdered, but contains cacao, coconut sugar, and just a hint of chili for a unique, mediterranean hot cocoa.

Mar, Cel, and Muntanya each contain different ingredients also sourced from Mallorca to really bring the essene of the island into a cup. My personal favorite is Muntanya just because I'm a sucker for orange blossom, but Cel (lavender) is a go-to before bed, and Mar (lemon verbena & spearmint) is usually what I'll grab for any iced tea drinks since it's so refreshing.

I actually love cold brewing Mar by adding a spoon of leaves to a mason jar full of water and letting it steep in the fridge overnight.
